Are You a Multitasker? - My Dog "Journey" Is!
When trying to decide what to do for a video entry into ActiveRain’s 1st Annual Talent Competition, lots of ideas began swimming through my head, but timing, production, and some technical challenges limited my options at this time. If this were taking place a couple of months from now, it might be a different story.
Originally, you were supposed to be getting ready to watch myself and several friends taking part in an actual live talent competition aboard a Carnival Cruise ship that we were on back in like 1998. We had a little singing act and performed in front of about 1500-2000 people on the ship who happened to show up for the talent show that night. We thought, no, only a few people will show up, no big deal, wrong, the entire boat was there. We were dressed in Zoot suits and performed several songs; “Run Around Sue”, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”(OMG, you have to click on the Lion Sleeps Tonight, funny), and another, can’t recall. A good friend of mine actually has a VHS copy of it, but we have yet to digitize it, so it will have to wait until next time around. It was a Hoot, though.
Secondly, I thought about entering an upcoming audition video for “The Amazing Race”, but because production has not started on that particular project yet, it will have to wait as well.
Thirdly, I thought about performing myself for you on camera singing a Righteous Brother song from one of my favorite movies of all time. But again, due to some production issues on how I would like the final video to be and time constraints, it will have to wait too.
So what does that leave me with? A stand-in. Who, what, you ask? Yes, a stand-in. So here is my dog “Journey” who has opted to stand in for me on this 1st Annual ActiveRain Talent Competition entry. You can also see briefly our Dear Black Lab "Moose"who we lost at the end of July.
So back to my original question, Are you a Multitasker? My Dog "Journey" is! I was going to say so am I, but not so much on this particular project.
