With the new school year starting next week, coupled along with ActiveRain's current Back to School contest to which you can still get your entries in until September the 4th. And also as a way to get some buzz going about one of my favorite groups on ActiveRain that is still a fledgling group, Statues around the World. I thought it would be fun to start a series of weekly post once a week, kind of like a Wordless Wednesday or Speechless Sunday. I may even start posting them on or in Wordless Wednesday.
As I said the other day to get your brain revved up for the new school year, parent, teachers and students a like, that I thought it would be fun if my series was about famous landmarks located both here in North Texas as well as places around the country and the world where I have visitied. In most cases, these landmarks will be statues of some kind or what would qualify as a statue. I will keep posting as I said until I run out of pictures to post, so come back often with your guesses and please provide as much information in your comment as possible, lets make this a history lesson each and every time. That way we will all learn more about the communities around us.
