The Best Real Estate Agents Have Great Systems:
The word system has quite a few definitions, I like: An organized and coordinated method of doing things on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Well, I have been wanting to write this post for a while, but today, and me stumbling upon the last day and hours of the IMSD Systems challenge here at Active Rain, I can’t think of a better reason to wait any longer to write it.
I have been a member of Active Rain from almost the inception of it, but like a lot of members here in the beginning; I set up a profile on Active Rain and forgot about it for the next four years not realizing what I had my hands on with AR. For those reading this who don’t know what ActiveRain is, it is the largest Network of Real Estate Professionals online in North America if not the world.
At the beginning of 2011 I re-engaged in Active Rain and discovered what I had been missing out on for the previous four years. I became active in the community, blogging regularly, considering I had never blogged before, reading other members blogs and commenting in the community.
To be an active member in the AR community takes a commitment on the members part, staying up late or getting up early to write blog post, commenting on other members post, etc…but you gain a great sense of comradery between other members of the AR Community. Comradery is defined as the spirit of goodwill and fellowship that exists between friends. You build a referral database of agents and other real estate professionals you can refer business back and forth to, locally and nationally.
Near the end of 2011, my father passed away, and following that I had to disengage for a time participating in the community, and have been in the background for basically the past year, still logging in, but not participating like I used to. I just wanted to say to my many AR friends and colleagues and readers out there, (as my cat “Misu”) just stepped on my keyboard, that I am sorry I have been away for so long. I have missed the AR community and yes even the “Google Juice”, and I plan to do my best time permitting, to re-engage as much as possible her at Activerain this year going forward.
So now onto the contest, and AR Gods, this might make a great series, having AR members introducing systems that work for them on a regular basis. I will have to keep this short and sweet because time’s awasting…
A system I use here at John Hrisco & Associates is something called DriveBuy Technologies. It is a simple, cool, Mobile marketing service providing agents and brokers a platform to text real estate listings to a prospect's phone.
DriveBuy Technologies has provided complete Mobile Marketing solutions for brokers and agents across the US with Custom Branded Mobile Websites,Text Message Codes,QR Codes and Signs.
It is so simple to set up, you can customize your texting code to your preferences. It’s inexpensive and the guys at DriveBuy Tech are great to work with.
I try to practice Green real estate whenever possible and a cool feature of this system I decided to implement is placing a brochure box in the yard next to the sign, however it does not contain, costly, wasteful flyers that if someone picked up, you would never know who picked up one of your flyers, but by having texting information on the brochure box and sign rider, a person driving by has to input their actual phone number if they want the information, not Mickey Mouse’s phone number. You get notified instantly and can respond to them in proper time and fashion.
You can check out www.DFWsBestBuys.com if you would like to see one of my mobile sites. To visit DriveBuy, just click on the banner here, and happy hunting.
